Who Am I?
I’m Lety Juarez-Sisson.
What can I say? The good ones take time to mature like wine. Yeah, I know cheeky cliché and that’s not what you want to read when you are looking over the About Page on a Publicist! So I could share the intimate story of a girl, on a road looking down and pondering the wonderment of her future and all it holds. But yeah, that’s not my story.
I was the odd ball, the one who spoke her mind, the one who questioned everything and above all strove to obtain advantages I was told were only meant for a select few. Why? Because why not. If I was willing to put in the work why shouldn’t I be able to take the AP classes in school? (I was told no in the end and I hold onto that now 20+ years later.) Or look only into the internships available to me (yeah, I created my own thank you very much). When I had my wonderful son at the ripe young age of 18 and barely a freshman in college, it was assumed I would quit school to work (Insert laugh here).
So if you can’t tell already, I am a badass. I am that person who refuses to hear no and will continue on until I feel there is nothing more to pursue. Yes, it has taken me years to become this person (hence the wine reference). It’s those years spent experiencing life in its many forms, healing from the hurt and rejection thrown my way that guided me to create my firm Artistic Communications. My passion as a Publicist is to help you gain the right exposure and knowing that the work we create together helps is what continues to ignite that passion.
So who am I besides the badass you read above? I am a 1996 graduate of Ysleta High School where my dream of becoming a magazine writer started the day I entered our school’s journalism classroom. I am a 2003 Fresno State Graduate with a Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication and Journalism with an English subject emphasis. In 2004 a very intelligent woman took a chance on a girl with no experience in Public Relations and hired her as her Public Relations Coordinator. In 2008 I decided to go after my dreams and become my own boss and help those needing creative and fun campaigns to introduce themselves to their ideal clients. In 2013 I graduated from National University with a Master’s degree in Strategic Communications.
The most important roles I play are that of mother and wife. The second most important role would be…
Your Publicist.
